    長期以來，國內的大多數行業是以新換舊，把換下的電動執行器當廢品扔掉或賣掉.特別是多用帶法蘭盤電動執行器的行業.而對換下的高壓、高溫、大型閥門電動執行器想修，但不知道怎樣修。多數還停留在手工修理階段。可以說中國的執行器維修業中，浪費與可獲得的效益都是巨大的。某電站(4x5omw~4x2oomw)每年要修上萬個汽機執行器和旁路執行器。電廠只有1臺1992年從德國進el的研磨機，其余都是手工操作，不僅效率低下，而且精度達不到要求。而旁路高壓減壓閥泄漏，電廠卻無法修理.送到上海維修效果也不理想。近的幾年，隨著各個單位逐漸開始獨立經濟核算，降低成本，從管理人員到一線的維修工人都逐漸的意識到了維修電動執行器的重要性，因為這方面所能節省的資金是極為可觀的。然而這里的修電動執行器并不是指簡簡單單的修理，還要包括采用正確的修理方法和優良的研磨修復設備。

    由于對電動執行器維修和檢修的觀念和設備缺乏，目前在國內只有核電站能夠基本做到在每次停機檢修期間對所有的電動執行器都進行檢修。壞了再修是一種無保養性維修，這對于全套設備的安全運轉和執行器的使用壽命都是極為不利的，其潛在的緊急停機事故的危險性極大，由此造成的損失也是巨大的。例如：天津某石化有1套從德國全套進口的生產裝置，自1981年投產至1996年從來沒有進行過檢修，1996年當時發現有幾個關鍵的填料閥泄漏，而德國廠家已經不再生產這種特種設備了，若重新訂貨.不僅價格高昂，而且供貨期很長，帶來的經濟損失巨大。所以說，工業高溫高壓執行器的預防性保養和維修措施，是解決執行器泄漏和延長使用壽命中經濟和可靠的途徑。

    電動執行器如果在無保養性維修的情況下，一旦泄漏，往往已經是損壞非常嚴重了，這不僅增大了修復的難度，而且常常甚至已經喪失維修的可能和價值。因此，對于組織和管理完善的執行器維修工作來說，不僅有關人員要有相應的意識，更重要的是預防和保養措施，即定期的對執行器進行檢查(例如，執行器相對于外界的密封性，執行器在關閉狀態下的密閉性等等)。預防性維修電動執行器的關鍵是在次發現執行器有泄漏現象時，立即對電動執行器進行修復，因為流通的介質即使在極微小的密封面壞損的情況下，也能在短時間內引起密封面的大面積壞損，以致造成昂貴的維修成本。
