2011年中國電線電纜總產值超越美國而成為世界*大電線電纜制造國，但不得不清醒的認識到，我國的電纜產能已嚴重過剩。據不*統計，如果中國所有的電纜企業全面開工，可以滿足整個亞洲、大洋洲的需求。在電纜產能嚴重過程的同時，由于XLPE絕緣電力電纜敷設不當而造成電纜擊穿占了電纜運行故障的相當大一部分比例，因此全面了解、認識XLPE電力電纜科學的敷設方式迫在眉睫。本文先介紹了中壓XLPE絕緣電力電纜的三種主要陸地安裝敷設方式。

我國現階段電纜工程設計主要參照GB 50217-2007與DL/T 5221-2005等相關標準，DL/T 5221-2005要求所敷設XLPE絕緣中壓電力電纜的zui小彎曲半徑，單芯為12D，三芯為10D（D=電纜實測外徑），但不同廠家針對不同種類的中壓電纜的彎曲半徑略有不同。理論上來講，6根及以下采用直埋的敷設方式，16根及以下采用隧道的敷設方式，21根及以下采用排管或電纜溝的敷設方式。但以上所述數據均為理想狀態下，施工中應根據不同的產品要求及真實的地理及相關環境而定。本文主要討論了直埋敷設、排管敷設與隧道敷設等三種陸地敷設方式。

XLPE絕緣電纜直埋敷設方式僅適用于無或少白蟻、遠離熱源、地勢平坦、交通不密集、無酸堿或化學品腐蝕、無地下作業等地帶。所以選擇直埋敷設前一定要做好地理勘測。一般情況下10kv及以下且帶有鎧裝層的電纜可因實際敷設情況選擇直埋敷設。
